Navigation built around New Zealand roads
Waybi combines clear turn guidance, lane information when the route provider supplies it, multiple route choices, traffic context, walking and transit options, and a compact driving interface designed to keep the road visible.

NZTA fixed safety-camera awareness
Published fixed safety-camera locations from NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi are matched to your route so Waybi can give useful advance reminders. The data is checked regularly and remains a driving aid, never a replacement for road signs or current conditions.

Route choices, traffic and parking context
Compare sensible route alternatives instead of forcing a different route just for variety. Where live traffic data is available, Waybi uses it as road context. For supported destinations, parking discovery helps you plan the final part of the trip before you set off.

Route Watch for the journeys you repeat
Waybi Plus can keep an eye on saved commutes such as Home ↔ Work and surface meaningful travel-time changes. Route geometry is refreshed instead of being treated as permanent, so monitoring stays tied to the route you actually use.

English and Chinese navigation
Waybi supports an English or Chinese interface and guidance. Search remains location-aware rather than assuming a hard-coded city, while New Zealand-specific road intelligence layers add local context on top.

A travelling companion, not another dashboard
Waybi keeps the map central and adds only the information that helps with the next decision. The Waybi bird, Clover the cat and Sett the corgi add personality without getting in the way of navigation.

GOOD TO KNOW
About Waybi navigation
Is Waybi a Google Maps replacement?
Waybi supports Google Maps as well as its own independent map and routing layers. The product is being built so map providers can be changed without changing the overall Waybi navigation experience.
Does Waybi show every speed camera in New Zealand?
No. Waybi uses published fixed safety-camera information from NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi. Coverage does not represent every road hazard, mobile enforcement activity, camera direction or lane. Always follow road signs, current conditions and New Zealand law.
Can I use Waybi without an account?
Yes. Core route exploration can be used as a guest. An account adds saved places, history and account-linked features such as Route Watch where available.
